We, the United family, are happy to announce that on 8th March 2018 by organizing two Sports events at Shyamnagr Annapurna ground, We have celebrated the AFC Women’s Day and also commemorated the ‘International Women’s Day’. Keeping in mind the core principle of the program, that is ‘empowering women’ of our society, we have associated more than 160 young girls from local schools of Shyamnagar. “Haraprasad Shastri Vidyabhawan” which is located just near the venue (Annapurna Ground) and ‘Noapara Brahmamaee Vidyalaya for girls’ have responded to our invitation and extended their all possible co-operation to make the event successful.
In the first event that took place in the morning, around 12.15 pm, the young students of Haraprasad Shastri Vidyabhawan, between the age group of 8-14 took part and had enjoyed enormously throughout the program. The session was mainly featured with different types of fun games and a brief interaction process at the outset of the program.
Following the first, the next phase was arranged in the afternoon. The overwhelming and enthusiastic participants of the Noapara Brahmamaee Vidyalaya for girls too had some remarkable time while playing football for more than hour under the guidance of our coaches and volunteers.
The young participants were felicitated with AFC T-Shirt and a participation certificate from our organization.
We are really thankful to All India Football Federation, Haraprasad Shastri Vidyabhawan and Noapara Brahmamaee Vidyalaya for their boundless support till the end. We now also envisage to work for the development of women football in our district and state.
Last but not the least, although it was mainly a fun event for the young participants but it has also ushered a new path for us towards development of girls’ football in the area and also gave our coaches and supporting staffs an incredibly opportunity to learn a lot while working in an unfamiliar circumstances.
