United SC chief coach Partha Sen said that- “It's a great feeling. I will first like to give thanks to my boys' and our Club's officials. It's a great moment for me and for my team. We were always positive throughout the 90 minutes, if you analyse the game. I would have been happier if we could win this 4-1 but I am still happy to bring this Shield again.”

"From the start of IFA Shield, we thought ourselves to be a strong contender. When we lost first match to East Bengal by 0-1, then we won the Odissa match by 7-0 in a gruop round and that was the turning point for us. We got the confidence that we can bounce back after losing. Full credit goes to the players,” said Sen.

"Our players don't have the experience of playing on artificial turf. It would have been a different ball game had the match been played at another venue with natural grass," East Bengal U-19 chief coach Tarun Dey said.
