Like the previous years, this year too United Sports Club hosted a friendly match cum exposure tour for Jain International Residential School Bangalore. The friendly match which is part of an exposure tour for the Bangalore-based school was held at Kalyani “A” block ground on 16 January 2017. The primary objective of organizing the match was to provide the young boys an exposure to competitive football, and thus prepare them for the next level.

The friendly match- consisting of two halves of 35 minutes each- was a valuable experience for the boys from both sides as it would help them grow up not only as footballers but as human beings by learning the necessary human values such as unity, friendliness, discipline and, above all, love.

United Sports U-12 side came out a clear winner by a large margin 7-0, but the Bangalore boys played with great conviction and determination. Both sides put their best efforts with utmost composure, and thus, making it a very enjoyable affair which often goes missing in a friendly match.

United Sports (USC) led by 4-0 at half-time after USC’s no. 10 Sayandeep Ghosh had converted from the spot kick to open the scoring on the 8th minute.

The Bangalore side also created some beautiful moves throughout the match which the score line may not suggest enough, and their never-give-up attitude spoke for their character. Overall, it was a match played with a friendly spirit, but not without a sense of utmost competition.

"I’m really happy that our boys tried their best & I would like to thank United Sports Club for their support. The infrastructure especially the grounds in Kalyani are really good”, said Altaf Syed, the coach of Jain International Residential School Bangalore.

United Sports coach Mr. Partha Sen said “playing friendly matches at this early age is very important & the result does not matter. It’s more important to teach them the basic technical aspects of the game practically. Kids play & they keep learning. More & more matches like this would be very helpful for this talented bunch of young stars.”
